• Addresses most of the commonly asked questions.
  • Let us have some fun with "human nature".

  1. I am lazy to read your entire web site. What is hypnosis? What is NLP?
You are likely to find many different descriptions of hypnosis and NLP. There have been many names and labels for them as well. To me personally, they are no major differences between Hypnosis and NLP as they go hand in hand. Not one is superior nor the best. Similar to anything and everything in the world, there are pros and cons to anything and everything. This one may serve better in a certain system than the other. And the other may serve better in other system than this one. It is a waste of time to argue which is the best.

My work is not limited with the use of hynosis or NLP. I use whatever psychological intervention or other methods to help a person. Each person has a unique psychological make-up and has different needs.

Hypnosis and NLP are psychological systems, few of the many psychological intervention strategies. They are not "therapy" by themselves. They are "used" in therapies to help initiate healing, improvement or change. They are not restricted to any special profession. It all depends on the context in which they are used.

Hypnosis is also known as "trance" or "altered state". It is a "natural" mental phenomenon; a natural state of relaxation within the body that the majority of people are in and out of trance all day. For instance, have you ever driven somewhere, and when you have arrived, have no recollection of how you got there? Watching television and being unaware of what is going on around you is yet another one. That is a state of trance.

NLP is a skill, to educate and teach people to run their own brains/minds in an optimal way to produce the specific results that they desire.

Beware of inflated claims. If it is too good to be true, then it probably is too good to be true. They sell you "false hope" or programmes that are likely not end up valuable.

  2. Why do some people make "hypnosis" a big negative issue?
The first group of people are professionally knowledgeable about human behavior (psychologists, hypnotherapists, counseling therapists, and mental health care providers). The second group of people are those who are ignorant and mislead by the belief system of unknowing, misguided and superstitious people.

Hypnosis, when used in hypnotherapy, is not a belief system. It does not matter whether you believe in it or not. It works for the vast majority of the human race. Which is why ADVERTISEMENTS work so well. A well scripted and acted drama touches the heart of people. We know a show is not real, but still we are made to believe it is happening.

The use of clinical hypnosis to modify behavior is a science. It is a clearly understood phenomenon which is primarily used in clinical applications to modify behavior in order to eliminate specific disorders and undesirable habits.

Hypnotic therapy is taught in most every major university which has a department of psychology. Psychologists and other health care providers use hypnosis to help their client's achieve goals and to promote better mental health. Hypnoanesthesia is used by medical doctors (pain-free surgery without use of anesthesia). Dentists use hypnosis to eliminate fear of dentistry, to relax their patient and to eliminate pain caused by tooth filling, tooth extraction, and root canal procedures. They also use it to eliminate bruxism (grinding of teeth).

  3. Is hypnosis dangerous?
"As far as it is known today, hypnosis per se is no more dangerous than natural sleep. There is no evidence that hypnosis in itself weakens the will, damages the nervous system or in any way adversely affects the physical or mental well being of individuals." - Andre M. Weitzenhoffer, Ph.D., a highly regarded authority in the field of mind science

To date, clients came to me and walked out my office with smiling faces. They were not hurt in the process of enjoyable and relaxing change. Remember, people who are hypnotised are not mindless robots that can be totally manipulated by anyone, hypnotist or not. They maintain control over their behavior and can refuse to comply with any suggestions given to them that are in direct moral conflict with them.

Medical professionals have determined that when a person is truly in a deep state of trance, they have greater control of their minds and bodies than they do in a state of "normal" or non-hypnotic consciousness. The conscious mind works more effectively during hypnosis. The senses are hyper-alert.

  4. Is this motivation? Positive thinking?
Which "motivation" and "positive thinking" specifically do you mean? There are different kinds or motivations and ways of motivating, as well as "positive thinking".

I help people to see, hear and feel things on a happier, brighter and positive side by changing or improving their thoughts and behaviour and work together with them to come up with solutions.

There are problems with the "self-help" or "personal development" industry. People bought their products and seminars and BELIEVE in them so much that they become zombies. If those are as effective as they claimed then why almost all who bought the products and attended countless of seminars failed? When they fail, who takes the blame? Not only did they fail, they also lost more money than that they were promised to acquire, plus the misery of not reaching their goals.

The majority thinks that "positive thinking" is about forgetting what has just passed and move forwards. That is only escaping from reality. And some positive think their way to wealth and success, a daily "rituals" by thinking and giving positive affirmations without any action or effort. They are only deluding themselves. Living in their fantasy world.

I am not a "motivator" therefore I do not do the typical jumping and shouting type of motivation like most motivators do.

Indeed your "state" defines your actions, and your actions defines your results. But you can only jump and shout and pretend you are problem free so much before the energy dries out and you return to a less than positive state.

Trying to override one state with another one in such way, is doomed to fail in the long run. Even worse, you will need to use more and more energy or "power" to return to the positive state, just like an addict will need more and more of the substance to get the same "kick".

This kind of motivation is quick and powerful, but does not last. Which is the reason why most people need to go back to their motivators to be motivated as the "I can do anything" effect lasts no longer than a few days. They revert to their old selves as quickly as a day or two as soon as reality hits them.

  5. Is hypnosis/NLP a cure-all, magical bullet or silver bullet?
Nothing is a silver bullet nor a panacea for everything, much less a magic bullet/pill that suddenly will cure anything. Be wary of what people "sell" you.

Some will claim they can do magic. Magically make your problems go away. Some even tell you that you will effortlessly get whatever you want. Magically attract prosperity without doing anything. Most of us undeniably choose the easiest path.

How true are all those? If it is too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true. Beware of "Fool's gold".

  6. Is hypnosis sleep?
No. Even though sleep has its own functions, it is not the therapeutic form or change in hypnotherapy. You are never and should not be asleep in hypnotherapy.

  7. Is hypnosis energy stuff? Are you doing energy?
Hypnosis is NOT an energy, spirit, god...It is a state of mind. It is not "something", not an object. It is just a mental or emotional condition.

Personally, neither do I practise nor deal with anything paranormal or supernatural activities or other New Age types of energy scams invented by the pride or fantasy of some people. Those are pseudoscience, made immutable by their followers and a complete nonsense.

There are arguments that "energy" or "force" is better than anything else because it uses cosmic power and higher form of spirits, gods or universes. Unfortunately, those need to be tested that they work everytime rather than by chance. Just like a piece of white paper, what happens if the paper sometimes can be written and sometimes cannot? It will be inconvenient and a waste money. Would you still buy that?

    SKEPTICISM WARNING
Some people claim that the following might be achieved with brain stimulation. However, there is no direct scientific proof of any of these, so a bit of a skeptical attitude is recommended.

    • Enhancing psychic capabilities like tendency towards out-of-body experiences, remote viewing, telepathy, telekinesis, etc.

    • Mental and astral projection

  8. Will I get everything/do anything with hypnosis and/or NLP?
That is the worst yet, a very misleading and unfortunate truth. With hypnosis, NLP or not, one cannot get "everything they want". It is impossible without actions or work. An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea. Besides, it is even more impossible to get "everything" we want.

Anyone who promises that you can influence ANYONE, or get ANYONE to do something, or get ANYTHING from ANYONE, ANYWHERE, ANYHOW is not being truthful.

Some claim that their programmes will enable a person to have psychic powers or answers from "God" with full of confidence. The Indian CSICOP offers INR 10,000 and The James Randi Educational Foundation offers USD 1 million for their challenges. The two organisations are happy to give away the money to anyone who can demonstrate evidence of any psychic, supernatural of paranormal ability of any kind under rigorously controlled conditions agreed to by both parties.

  9. Will I fall asleep during hypnotherapy session?
    Yes. Possibilities are:-

1)Your brain or body NEEDS you to sleep due to fatigue or tiredness.

2)You are too comfortable during the session.

3)You are not following instructions and drifting into sleep.

  10. Will I be trapped in hypnosis and never to wake up?
Never happens. The worst could ever happen is you falling asleep and waking up when you are ready to wake up, all naturally. Your body or brain needed rest.

The only way you are never to wake up is the only time when you are pushing up daisies.

  11. Is hypnosis religion, black magic, spiritualism, demons, satanism, witchcraft, etc?
Professional, clinical hypnotherapy has absolutely nothing to do with any religion, black magic, spiritualism, demons, satanism, witchcraft, Lucifer, or any other kind of evil icon. Anyone who tells you it does is ignorant of the science of hypnosis.

Do not confuse hypnosis with the trance state which people appear to be in while performing a religious or cult ritual like voodoo dancing, screaming and chanting. When observing such phenomena, you are observing a state of hysteria.

Some people, particularly those who are members of certain secular religious groups, and have no training in modern psychology, believe that accessing a person's mind using hypnotism exposes the subject's mind to demonic forces and like evil spirits. They believe one gives up their free agency and self-will to the control of these imaginary evil ghosts and beings. Such ignorant people cannot, in any understandable manner, substantiate their claim of a person being demonically possessed while in a state of hypnosis. Such people who claim demonic possession happens or is possible have beliefs which are based purely on ignorance, fear, and superstition. Anyone who acts out as if possessed by some evil entity is in a state of self-induced hysteria.

The only main stream religions which forbid the use of clinical hypnotherapy for their members are Christian Science and Seventh-Day Adventist. Other religions of which I am aware embrace modern, clinical hypnotherapy as a modality used for positive behavior modification, vocational, and avocational improvement.

(A hypnotist/NLPer is just like any other person and does not use the paranormal)

  12. Does hypnosis work? Does NLP work?
Hypnosis is a natural phenomenon we experience everyday, many times a day. The power of hypnosis is documented by doctors, dentists and other leading health professionals. It was approved as a legitimate medical and dental treatment method by the American Medical Association in 1958.

Yes, they work. They work very well in fact! That is the reason why advertisements are so good at making people buy their services and products. Magic shows make you to believe magicians are awe-inspiring in magic that it looks so real. Fairy tales and Aesop’s Fables hypnotise children and inspire almost anyone.

You are familiar with the "placebo effect". A patient is given an inert "sugar pill" and told that the pill may improve his/her condition. This may cause the patient to believe that the treatment will change his/her condition. This belief sometimes causes the patient's condition to change. The placebo effect points to the importance of perception and the brain's role in physical health.

They work very well provided the listener or the person or people are willing and open to suggestions, genuinely Desire that it will work, Believe it will work and Expect that it will work. "Change" also has its own "criteria". Change is easy and yet challenging.

  13. Are psychological intervention strategies only for those who are all not normal, and are problematic and mentally ill?
That is yet another major misconception. People do not look for me just because they are mentally ill or full of problems. Some people think "mental health" has something to do with some forms of "mental illnesses".

"Normal" people can seek professional help too. Usually for self-improvement, goal setting, decision making, assertiveness, boost motivation and others of what both "normal" and "not normal" people can do.

Psychological intervention strategies are not constrained to only one or few uses in only one or few areas.

  14. Can anyone be hypnotised?
There are large individual differences in response to hypnosis. Hypnosis has little to do with the hypnotist's technique, and very much to do with the individual's capacity, or talent, for experiencing hypnosis. Most people are at least moderately hypnotisable. However, while relatively few people absolutely cannot be hypnotised, by the same token, relatively few people fall within the highest level of responsiveness (so-called hypnotic virtuosos).

There is some controversy over whether hypnotisability can be modified. Some clinical practitioners believe that virtually everyone can be hypnotised, if only the hypnotist takes the right approach. However, there is little evidence favoring this point of view. Similarly, some researchers believe that developing positive attitudes, motivations, and expectancies concerning hypnosis can enhance hypnotisability. However, there is also evidence that such interventions may only affect behavioral compliance with suggestions, not the subjective experiences that lie at the core of hypnosis. As with any other skilled performance, hypnosis is probably a matter of both aptitude and attitude: negative attitudes, motivations, and expectancies can interfere with performance, but positive ones are not by themselves sufficient to create hypnotic virtuosity.

In my professional opinion, the only people who cannot be hypnotised are those who have the following disorders:

    • Mentally retarded, with a clinically diagnosed intelligence score indicating very low intelligence.

    • Refractory. Consistently resistant due to a belief system, antisocial behavioral disorder or paranoia.

    • The complete inability to use imagination.

    • Intellectual, analytical, suggestible personality (without instruction)

    • Certain severe, psychopathological disorders such as schizophrenia, acute anxiety which cause panic attacks, and certain severe personality disorders.

Sad but true, there are people who cannot be helped. No amount of NLP, communication, or Tender Loving Care (TLC) can do any good to them. Most of us are afraid of change and we do not like changes, but it is even more chronic in some people. The prerequisite for a person to do anything is willingness and it comes naturally for the person. It is an exercise in futility and frustration to try to get a person to change when they do not want to change and even more especially when you do it with force.

The more intelligent a person is, provided they are mentally stable, the more susceptible they are to hypnosis. Intelligent people enter into hypnosis quite easily, it is because they can more easily access their imagination and are better at following instructions.

  15. Is there an age limit? Does the ability to be hypnotised vary with age?
For the interest of profit and money, I would say "there is NO limit". Of course, I may create myself unnecessary trouble!

EVERYTHING HAS a limit. Things go by the "bell curve" pattern. Example: A tea bag in a cup of tea may be bland at first. Its taste will be stronger and darker in colour, if left longer in hot water. It goes back to blandness after the second cup or more water is added to the same tea bag.

Cross-sectional studies of different age groups show a developmental curve, with very young children relatively unresponsive to hypnosis. Hypnotisability reaches a peak at about the onset of adolescence but then scores generally drop off among middle-aged and elderly individuals. Longitudinal studies indicate that hypnotisability assessed in college students remains about as stable as IQ over a period of 25 years.

  16. Is NLP/hypnosis mind control or brainwashing? Can NLP/hypnosis make me do something against my will or tell secrets?
    1) No. The term brain washing is a colloquial term used by the military and intelligence agencies for the forceful extraction of secrets and intelligence data from individuals utilizing psychological and physiological methods. It is also used by intelligence agencies and cults to modify belief systems to accomplish a predefined behavior. Brain washing incorporates the use of prolonged, repetition of psychologically driven cult dogma and rituals, or the application of physical and psychological torture methods which produce prolonged, agonizing, controlled pain or discomfort to force behavior to change or a confession of information. Brain washing can also be accomplished with the use of drugs which inhibit the brain's ability to use logic and resistance which facilitates easier access to the conscious and subconscious minds from which intelligence data may be extracted.

    2) No. You will not reveal any personal information, secrets or do anything unless you want to whether you are in trance or not. What you will not normally do consciously will not be done in hypnosis/NLP. A hypnotised person is capable of confabulation (making up stories, exaggerations and lies). A hypnotised person cannot be forced to tell the truth via hypnotic interrogation. This is why testimony derived from a hypnotised subject is not admissible as evidence in a court of law in the United States.

The only person who has the authority and power to hypnotise you, is you! Technically, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. When a hypnotherapist is engaged in the process of hypnotising you, it is actually you who are hypnotising yourself with a hypnotherapist's guidance. The hypnotherapist is merely guiding you into the hypnotic state with your permission; however, it is only you who puts yourself into a state of hypnosis acting on the suggestions given to you by the hypnotherapist.

Medical professionals have determined that when a person is truly in a deep state of trance, they have greater control of their minds and bodies than they do in a state of "normal" or non-hypnotic consciousness. The conscious mind works more effectively during hypnosis. The senses are hyper-alert.

Examples exist demonstrating that subjects in deep hypnosis who are asked to do something against their "fundamental interest" will either ignore the command or, if pressed to comply, have the ability to self-terminate their trance instantly, and at any time. You cannot be made to remain in a hypnotic state.

    3) YES. NLP/Hypnosis is used in advertisements for the purpose of making you buy their products and services. That is "mind control". You KNOW they are advertising something to attract you. But then, you do have your own will not to buy. In daily conversation, we all are trying to convince others of our ideas. Our actions to convince others is yet another form of "mind control". Politics are a good example for this.

    4) YES. YOU control YOUR own mind. That is the reason why hypnosis and NLP help us to train ourselves. We teach ourselves how to run our own brains/minds. Due to the stress and too much information we receive everyday, we will learn to "re-align" ourselves, therefore controlling and mastering our own minds.

  17. Guarantees
    Is NLP/hypnosis guaranteed?
People in sales offer guarantees, which is often simply a way of luring clients. Professionals rarely offer guarantees, especially in the health care profession.

There is no such thing as a legitimate or legal guarantee about the effectiveness of any type of counseling or psychotherapy. Hypnosis/NLP is no exception. If another person could truly guarantee your behavior, wouldn't that service be worth thousands or millions of dollars? You are the only person who can guarantee your own behavior, and I can show you how to make and keep your own guarantees.

There can never be full guarantees when it comes to making changes within yourself, however, that doesn’t mean that the therapist (or you) should not be accountable for doing everything possible to ensure a beneficial outcome.

Think about a marriage counselor. You choose one you have confidence in and feel comfortable with, but there are no guarantees that he/she will save your marriage. Each person has a unique psychological make-up and I cannot guarantee results because so much of what happens depends on - How closely do you pay attention? How willing are you to cooperate? How motivated are you to be successful?

But others offer a lifetime guarantee...money back guarantee...
Anyone offering a lifetime guarantee on any method to achieve something is charging you in advance for future services, and overcharging for the time and quality of attention you will receive. You will notice that is not a money back guarantee, it is not even a promise that you will achieve your goals. It is simply saying that you can repeat the same 60 minute session any time you want. They are selling a lifetime service plan on a very brief, generic service. In fact, that type of operation is more profitable by being less helpful - the less satisfied you are with your first claim against that guarantee, the less likely you are to ever come back again.

To tell a client, "If it doesn't work you can come back for free" is to give them permission to fail. Highly deceiving if you are not aware, but if you think about it, it is bad psychology, bad business, and bad news for anyone who falls for it.

  18. How many sessions do I need(hypnosis/NLP)?
It very much depends on the type of challenges, the clients themselves and their environments. Our ethical aim is to keep the number of sessions to a necessary minimum.

Most challenges are achieved in a single session. Some might take as many as five or six. The number of sessions required depend primarily on how deeply rooted the challenge may be.

It is recommended that the first two sessions and then return for reinforcement. As an analogy although inaccurate, on the road, it is imperative for a car to change its engine oil and filter every 12 months or 12,000 KM, whichever comes first. Drivers who want to save money by delaying the change but usually ended up paying much more; penny-wise, pound-foolish. Those who tell to change every oil 3 months or 3,000 KM are not being truthful.

Different people have different challenges. And they respond very differently to similar forms of treatment, even when they are using the same treatment. As a result, patient/client needs an array of treatments and services tailored to address their unique and specific needs. Finding an approach that is personally effective can mean trying out several different methods or other professionals before a "match" is found between patient/client and programme.

Nothing on Earth is a silver bullet, magic bullet or cure-all, neither is hypnosis nor NLP. Some people call them "quick fix", but not at all true. People quit due to impatience and find a much quicker, but unsafe and unhealthy solutions such as alcohol, nicotine, drugs, etc, in the hope that all problems would magically disappear.

"It is easy to hate and it is difficult to love. This is how the whole scheme of things works. All good things are difficult to achieve; and bad things are very easy to get" - Confucius

  19. Individual or Group?
    In a GROUP:

    • Meeting others with problems can give you a wider perspective of your own problems. You may take it as a "brainstorming session".
    • Listening to other people helps you to understand that you can view and handle problems in more than one way.
    • People within the group can give encouragement and morale support; a general feeling for the human condition: "We are all in the same boat".
    • As a "group", it treats problems involving communication with other people, such as social phobia (shyness).

    Individual/personal:

    • No one else except you and the therapist know your little "secrets".
    • More time to handle your particular problems.
    • You can often penetrate deeper into your inner problems than with group therapy, class, training or course.
    • You may feel better if you have lots of your own challenges because you do not have countless inputs to confuse you further.
    • You can arrange a time to suit yourself and need not co-ordinate your own time with other people or the available group therapy, class, training or course slots.

  20. How long will the effect last?
The effect lasts for as long as you want and provided that you do not come in contact with the world. This is the "environmental factor". If you, or others did not drop litter at a place, how can that place be full of litter?

It is the same if you keep a clean car in a house with a built-in garage. The car remains clean as long as it does not go out of the garage. If it is clean, there is no reason for you to do extra cleaning. If it goes out, then you can expect it to collect dust and be dirty. When it gets dirty, it needs cleaning.

  21. Why should I use your service when there is abundant of hypnosis CD out there?
I could not agree more. Those are out there for sale in plenty and they are very cheap. I may produce those in the nearest future to meet the requirements of different people.

    The disadvantages of recorded materials:

1)It is not specific to the challenges that you face or encounter.

2)You will soon give up and then get a new one as recorded materials are "dead". It will no longer accommodate your needs. It never changes the way or what you want to hear different (sometimes you may notice you pick up new things form the same recording because you missed out or you have accumulated ideas).

From a hypnotherapy aspect, the hypnotherapist comes in if the client wants to be have the therapeutic effect of, or profound change with hypnosis.

Likewise, in "non-hypnotic" situations, with a coach, trainer or consultant, deeper challenges are addressed and are easily resolved. This is the reason why people seek help from others when they cannot deal by themselves.

Reaching the deep enough working level is not impossible to do it by ourselves, but will need much effort and practise. You will be both the operator and subject. This like being both the director of a movie and the lead actor/actress. This poses some limitations.

  1. Why are you aggressive and rude? How are you suppose to discipline and motivate others if you have problems of your own/you think negative/you cannot even discipline yourself?
It is wise to first seek for the reason instead of pointing the gun and blindly shoot. Ask if you do not understand. Do not ask a question if you do not want to hear the answer; Do not ask unless you are prepared to openly listen to the answer. There are people who ask questions that they do not want truthful answers to, or ask for the sake of asking without even listening to the answer they just asked for. Some people ask for advice or present a question looking only for confirmation of their own belief, and if the answer did not confirm their belief they will become very defensive and/or offensive.

Certainly everyone has problems. No one and nothing is perfect. What makes us different is the degree of seriousness and the amount of problems that we have. Not to mention different ways of coping. What is suitable for one, may not be suitable to the other. What seems to be good to one, may be the opposite to others.

It is the best that we first criticise and judge ourselves before we criticise and judge others. It behoves us to examine a particular situation before leaping to conclusions that proved unfounded.

You may want to be reminded that my job is not to "Discipline" people.

  2. What makes you different from others? Why should I work with you?
To be impartial and without bias, undoubtedly there are things which are beyond my control. I could not work with some people due to their certain requirements that I could not meet, or they did not meet my requirements. The rest are more than satisfied to be with me.

I believe you have experienced people trying to convince you that they are the "best", "premium", "the one and only", "world-class". Does it make any sense to you that you can find more than "one" if it was "the one and only"? Those are things of the past. More and more people are educated and clever with the ability to recognise self-professed "experts" or "gurus" who are looking to make quick money or over-night fame. People who tell you that they know exactly what you need to do are either deceiving, or worse, have not grasped the complexity of what they are supposed to be experts of. Just because a person knows how to use a hammer does not mean they know how to build a house. Likewise, because you know how to use Facebook, that does not mean you know how to use it to build a successful online enterprise.

Above all, I do no sell "hopes" which lead people into more miserable lives and endanger their health. The best thing for me is to work with you, only then you will know where I stand. Besides, I give the first consultation for free, then we shall work together if I make sense to you.

  3. My so-and-so is problematic. How do I get them to seek professional help?
First of all, are you really sure that you are not the one who is the problem? Sometimes the ugliness we see in others is a reflection of our own nature.

It is almost impossible to convince the other person that they need help, until unless they are aware of themselves and want to change. Even when they know they need help, it depends on certain criteria because "change" sounds simple enough but not easy for most of us.

BE WARY of some people because they most likely will attack you personally, accuse you of what he or she does himself, false accusations against you or turn your every word against you or the combination of any or more. They essentially make YOU BE the problem and they say YOU ARE the problem. When you encounter an unreasonable or irrational person, you have encountered an emotional person. You have been cautioned!

As mentioned, it is always better for you to first evaluate and be critical about yourself before criticising others. The possible worst thing is that you wrongly judge and the problem person is actually yourself, assuming the other person is really on the correct path and in the correct direction.

Once you have confirmed that you are clean and clear, even if they ever listened to you, that does not necessarily mean they accept or agree. Which is why there is nothing changed in them although they went for help. It is because it is not what they wanted. They did so just to please you or others that they went for help and to prove that nothing is wrong with them.

It is in the best interests of the individuals; be it directly or indirectly. For those who refuse to change even when they are evidently in trouble or diagnosed with health problems, the only way for them to learn is their own falling.

Please understand that some people cannot be helped. There is a possibility that they made a conscious choice to have a certain "identity". If they hold on to that long enough, that conscious choice would become their "belief". A belief of which they create their own reality within themselves and be out of touch of the reality outside.

"Every human being is the author of his own health or disease" - Buddha

  4. Do you not think you are too young for me to work with?
America is an example of youth has new answers, if America had truly wanted EXPERIENCE, McCain would have won. OBAMA has NO true experience, he talks a good game and inspires people.

My chronological age or appearance might be young, but my mental age is certainly not young. You may want to clearly differentiate amongst those three.

I am sure you had your "young" years before, has it ever occurred to you that you could do unlimited beneficial things and you had done good things, but "elder" people dismissed you? If you have children of your own and you love them, are you satisfied when your own children are treated less than what you expected or equally to no position in the society?

How young is "too" young? Depending on where one stands, to a person whose age is 70 would say a 60 years old person very young. A 60 years old person would consider a 40 years old person too young. People put years/age into life and not life into years/age. A person may eat like they have never eaten before, but they do not appreciate the flavour.

Old or young, if they are well-trained, they can do very much better than the untrained old and young.

For on a certain day, this Venerable went to wait upon the Buddha. As he departed, thirty forest monks saw him. The monks went to the Buddha, saluted him, and sat down respectfully on one side. The Buddha, perceiving that the monks were ripe for arahatship, asked them this questions, "Did you see a certain Venerable leave this place?"

    Monks: "No, we did not".
    Buddha: "You did not?".
Monks: "We saw a certain novice".
Buddha: "He was no novice; he was a Venerable".
    Monks: "He was exceedingly young".
Buddha: "I do not call a man a Venerable merely because he is old, or sits in the seat of a Venerable; but he who comprehends the Truths and is ever kind to others, he is a Venerable indeed".

"He is not thereby an elder merely because his head is grey. He’s just fully ripe in years. "Old-in-vain" is he called.

One in whom there is truthfulness, virtue, inoffensiveness, restraint, harmlessness and self-mastery, who is free from defilements and is wise - he is truly called an elder.

Wisdom cannot be measured by age. One who is old is not necessarily wise. Sometimes a young person can be far wiser than somebody old. To grow old is not a virtue demanding automatic respect. We should save our respect for those who deserve it."
    Dhammapada(Dhammattha Vagga - 260-261)

  5. What do you do? Sit there and do nothing?
I prepared a meal for you, I fed you the meal, do I also have to chew and swallow for you? If you were hungry and I was the one to help you chew and swallow the food, who is the one who remains hungry?

I am only a guide, controlling the process. You control the outcome. You are the one who will make the change, and how you want the change to be. Regardless of how great a person is or an information, ultimately you are the one who will make it happen. And still some people expect that "professional people" to be their answers to everything; they expect to be given "miracle pills". The wrong beliefs and hopes of "miracle cure" or "quick fix" could make a person temporarily feel good, but lead to adverse consequences in the long run.

A teacher gives all the necessary information to the student. It is entirely up to the student how he/she wants to use or apply the information given.

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" - Laozi

Science is not responsible for your irresponsible lifestyle choice. No one is responsible for your own behaviour and thoughts. YOU are your own responsibility.

"Every human being is the author of his own health or disease" - Buddha

  6. Do you not think that your fees are too expensive?
It is an irony that most people complain eating out is expensive and rage against the prices go up and never come down, but they still eat out!

Gamblers are penny-wise, pound-foolish. Gambling is never too expensive for them. They do not seem to mind how much they will lose because they will repeatedly try their "luck" until they win.

There are people who are more willing to spend few hundred dollars for beers and drink their way to intoxication. No one on Earth would be sober, should beer could magically bring solutions and magically get rid of problems.

I paid a lot to learn and spend tremendous amount of effort and time to become an expert myself, rather than being a stupid and lazy "self-appointed expert" to rob others.

If you are after cheap professional people, then clearly I am not for you. If however you want to invest in your future, then maybe I am. If your child or yourself needed a serious operation, would you look for the cheapest surgeon? Then why look for the cheapest way to make changes in your life that are important enough to seek help with?

Consider the Internet, newspaper or books. They might be the cheapest sources.

  7. Why do I need people like you when I can help myself? People like you are robbers.
That is marvellous that you can help yourself. You would want to consider to start your own business as it would be a good opportunity for you to help people.

Perhaps someone sold you false promises or ridiculous claims. Or some people have been telling you to believe they have been "robbed". Maybe they are pushy or inconsistent or even unreliable. I don't know what precisely you went/are going through. But I do know there are bad people and good people at every corner of the world. You might feel you are one of the "victims", but you must be sure that I am not the one who made you the victim. That someone who "robbed" you is certainly not me, especially when you and I have never before worked together.

  8. You are not a psychologist. You are not a member of this and that. What qualifications have you got to prove you are worthy?
Do you IMMEDIATELY work with ANYONE who is a member of this and that and possesses a bunch of certificates is worthy of your trust? Do all those mean that the person is trustworthy?

Since I am not a psychologist nor a PhD, I probably cannot cook, do simple aeronautical calculations or even write my name. Titles are lavishly bestowed, and how can you tell whether it is a genuinely respected medical association or a name concocted by the company's advertising company. Perhaps that "doctor" is the sole "member" of the lofty sounding society. As they say "Don't judge a book by its cover or a coin by its face value".

It is, in my humble opinion, wise to judge a person as a whole, rather than on only one aspect. Anyone can come from anywhere and can be anything.

The qualifications that I have are the opportunities people give me. Without anyone giving me a chance it will be useless even though I am the most knowledgeable and skillful person in the world. It means nothing, absolutely nothing, if the door is shut and tightly closed.

I have enough self-esteem and self-confidence in order to work with people. "Worth" is based on personal beliefs or feelings rather than facts, therefore a highly subjective criterion. Every person has their own criteria and meaning of "worth". What is worth to you may not be the same to another, and vice versa.

  9. Do you not consider yourself too naive and honest?
"Live as you will wish to have lived when you are dying" - Christian Furchtegott Gellert

"I try to treat people the way I would like to be treated, but I can't worry about what everyone's going to think" - Victoria Principal

Honesty may not be the best policy. I am not good at pretending, over promising or being too agreeable. Those are few of the reasons as to why I am not good at cheating others to be wealthy.

Everyone can make claims that their "system" or themselves are perfect or the best. But who will be blamed when people failed to use their "system" or not work as claimed?

You would perhaps agree that there are people who prefer long-term good business, partners and clientele over temporary large sum of profit and fail to provide what is claimed or advertised.

The truth is easier to remember. I chose to have returning clients and people who spread good news about me. I build trust and relationship, not lies nor by force. Any good business will want the same from good clients. Any good clients do not want to be cheated by any good business. Sounds fair to you, does it not?

There are people selling something that they have not any clue about. Most "sellers" are either natural born sellers OR they know how to repeat what they were taught like parrots. The customers are trying to keep up with the litany of well-intended half-truths. And most sellers do not bother or is a corporate mouthpiece.

Many professionals believe that "trust" is created through brands, credentials, brains, and great work. Sadly, it is not, and it is far from the truth. There are instances of unscrupulous "great" people who fell almost overnight.

Trust is a psychological relationship between individuals. People trust people, not institutions. Buildings and names are lifeless, but people(humans) are alive. I went to the "best" primary school my parents sent me, the name of the school is indeed the "best" but some students were the worst of the lot to the point that they were heavily punished and their parents were called. Few involved in police/court case. Credibility and reliability are just two trust drivers: a sense of intimacy is another. Most important is the individual's belief that the person has his or her best interests at heart.

Nothing destroys client trust faster than the person who appears to be withholding information or trying to control the client.

"We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give" - Winston Churchill

  10. Do you know that you are not open-minded?
This is presented as though it is actually a valid argument. In reality it just shows they have run out of arguments by calling someone "close-minded". They hide behind it to disguise the complete lack of any rational reason for others to accept what they are telling you. It is the last resort of someone who has nothing. If they had evidence they would obviously present it.

People whose minds are closed think they have an open mind. Interesting enough that calling someone close-minded is denigration. It is fallacious rhetoric: to doubt something is not necessarily close-minded. As a matter of fact, the close-minded ones are the believers who insist some fantastic stories/beliefs are true or correct, despite a complete lack of evidence to support it. They are too close-minded to accept that their fantasies/beliefs might be false or wrong.

Unlike other "open-minded" people you might know or claim that they are, I am open-minded but not too much that my brain fall out. If you accept something when there is no reason to believe that it is true, you are just credulous. And if you will not reject something when there is no reason to believe in it, then you are into free fall, you will believe in anything. This way of thinking is a complete dead end.

  11. Isn't puffing cigarettes and/or drink alcoholic beverages are the fastest cure?
It may seem easy for a smoker or drinker to find an excuse based on "quick relief" or "quick fix" by lighting up or have few glasses. However, there is no evidence in any studies indicating that nicotine can alleviate stress. Despite leading to more negative health consequences, neither nicotine nor drinking is helpful to alleviate stress or make problems disappear.

Smoking restricts the blood vessels and makes one's blood pressure rise and insufficient blood to circulate to the brain, thus reducing the optimal capability to be alert and the ability to think clearly.

Those who use alcohol may lead to dependency. The effect of alcohol not only contributes to physical stress but it also causes one's financial difficulties to sink even further.

Those are seemingly effortless means and escapism are never better ways to counter stress or make problems vanish.

  12. I like you very much and what you are doing is amazing! Can we do it online, phone or web cam?
Requests from overseas. I am flattered and I thank you for your interest in me.

It can be done any where in the world with the help of technology. Notwithstanding, technology has its downside.

And yes, some of the issues can be easily resolved without coming to me.

First look for a coach, trainer, consultant or therapist nearest to where you live/are. If you have the trust and interested in me, then we can make an arrangment and discuss further.

  13. Why do you not give advice?
    Please refer to this link.

  14. Can I be your partner? May I be your staff?
To be my partner, it depends on certain criteria. There were few people, who asked to be their partners. All of them were ridiculously irritating. It is not at all "partner" if they expected me to do all the job and they do the easiest job and waited impatiently to receive payment. Moderate selfish attitude is good but in the wrong attempt is not encouraging.

As yet I do not need a staff. That also keeps the prices and fees low. People are more willing to pay for what they need. I may need people to help me when it comes to bigger events.

You can nonetheless always help me to expand my business and make me reach more people who need my services. You will be rewarded for your effort of getting me business. Fair enough, doesn't it? There is no free meal.
